The Scientific Method — p-Hacking Python T-Shirt
Dark
Light
THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD, as actually practised:
while p_value > 0.05:
seed += 1
p_value = backtest(seed)
If at first you don't succeed, re-roll the random seed — and keep re-rolling until the backtest finally clears significance. Every quant, data scientist and grad student knows this loop, and knows it should never be run. Seed shopping, p-hacking, the garden of forking paths: the shortest path from "no effect" to "publishable" is a loop that keeps going until the number is small enough. The cursor is still blinking on the line below.
Syntax-highlighted like an editor, in two colourways — light artwork for dark shirts, dark artwork for light ones. For anyone who has ever stared at p = 0.051 and felt something stir.
Vector design — sharp at any print size.
